Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
USA/Michel Gondry/2004/108´
It is directed by Michel Gondry, who worked on the story with Charlie Kaufman and Pierre Bismuth, a french performance artist who participates in the exhibition Yours Mine Ours. The film focuses on a fantastic subject, in which the partial erasure of individual memory constructs the main idea of the story. A troubled New York couple, Joel and Clementine, try to erase the memories of one another in order to free themselves from the pain, anger and the confusion of separation.

Electra, my love
Hungary/ Miklos Jancso/1975/76´
The Electra greek myth is widly re-imagined in this film adaptation. Electra awaits the arrival of her brother and the body of those who killed King Agamemnon. When her brother returns, he has killed another instead. Electra vows revenge, killing her brother only to see him resurrected again. Miklos Jancso has taken great liberties in this lively adaptation. The story is told in an allegorical and highly symbolic fashion, mixing primitive Greek settings with modern ones.

Les Yeux Sans Visage (Eyes Without a Face)
France /Georges Franju/1959/84´
Influential horror about a Surgeon whose daughter, Christiane, has been horribly disfigured in a car accident. The Surgeon becomes obsessed with a murderous plan to recreate his daughters face using experimental skin grafts for which ‘donors’ are required. Through the majority of the film Christiane’s face remains masked, unnervingly featureless and expressionless, the only visible trace of humanity left is in her eyes.
